Back in 2017, we added chickens to our back yard collection of vegetable gardens and bee hives, so we searched for a company that would provide us with a great looking lawn WITHOUT using toxic chemicals. We found Mike at Green Thumb Lawn Care, and were thrilled with the service he provided. We were a bit nervous in 2024 when Mike announced that he had merged his business with Grover Turf Care to continue his Organic Approach long into the future, but after a few initial bumps, we have been pleased.

I have been with Grover (formerly Mike Pool) for many years. My lawn was a rocky wasteland and now it looks great. The weeds are kept at bay and the grass is a beautiful green. Love those guys.

Good program at a reasonable price. Very helpful and decent. Bralyn and Kim were great. Lawn looks better, greener, new growth after 1st treatment.

Mike Poole has been taking good care of our lawn for more than 5 years. Our friends always comment on how good it looks. I recommend him every time.

Great customer service and punctual. Their follow-up is top notch. I would highly recommend Grover to anyone searching for a lawn/turf company.

Our new home was beautiful, but its appearance was marred by a neglected, weed-riddled lawn. After two failed attempts by other Knoxville-based companies that promised a lush, green turf, an acquaintance recommended Mike (then an independent lawn specialist). The transformation didn't happen overnight, but Mike's strategic plan to recondition the soil; treat the plants with appropriate nutrients; and his professional grounds-keeping tips, my lawn's health and appearance have never been better.

7 yrs ago our lawn was in very poor shape. We hired Mike Poole and his staff to do whatever needed to be done to get it looking good. They tore out the old and put new grass in and have maintained it quarterly ever since. We have thick weed free grass that everyone comments on now. I would highly recommend this company.

I have been working with Mike Pool and the team at Grover Turf Care for decades. Our yard has never looked better and Mike goes above and beyond to ensure the turf is as healthy as possible. He is always available and he will come to our house personally to look at issues when we find them. He has encyclopedic knowledge and know-how and keeps our yard looking beautiful year round. I highly recommend his group, no question.

My yard has never looked better. I highly recommend Grover Turf Care. They take samples of your soil and put together a treatment tailored for your yard.

Grover turf care completely beautified our yard!

Tried several companies but finally found Grover!

Mike Pool knows what to do, when to do it and we are so grateful! Give them a call! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Mike has serviced our yard for the past 7 years. He has always been professional and answered all of our questions. When the army worms invaded our yard Mike was the first person to come over and assess the situation. With his knowledge He resolved the issue very quickly and effectively. This quick action helped save our lawn and saved us lots of money. I would recommend Mike to anyone needing lawn service.
